Well it finally seems like the Robinson Cano sweepstakes may be ending in the most unlikely of places – Seattle. Although they will not confirm or deny it, the report is a ten-year $240M deal for the second basemen. With King Felix locked up long term now, the Mariners have the centerpiece of the line-up to build around for the next decade. Now, the obvious statements about how this is too much for too many years are obvious, just like Pujols and ARod, etc – but in the fantasy world we care not about such things. Cano is the best hitting second basemen in MLB and of our generation, as well as a top-ten hitter overall in MLB still which won’t likely change for the next five years or so.
